News from Farm Credit East, ACA

We mean it when we say "We know agriculture!” Today Farm Credit East Greenwich branch manager Chris Truso, his wife Liz and son Dan, kicked off the 2018 New York State maple season with the annual tree tapping ceremony at their farm Maple Acres in Granville, NY. Senator Betty Little, Assemblyman Dan Stec, Assemblywoman Carrie Woerner, Upper Hudson Maple Princess Olivia Roberts and other members of the Upper Hudson Maple Producers association all gathered for a ceremonial maple tree tapping in celebration of the New York State Grown & Certified program and upcoming Maple Weekends.

Upper Hudson Maple Association Tree Tapping Ceremony at Maple Acres

Spring is coming! It is time to tap the trees! We are looking forward to another maple season!

Our sugar house has been selected by the Upper Hudson Maple Association to be the official site of the annual tree tapping ceremony.

The ceremony will take place on March 9, 2018 at 12:00 Noon.

Stop by for the ceremony and refreshments.

Maple Weekend 2018

Every spring, the members of the New York State Maple Producers Association invite families and friends into their "sugar houses” to experience the world of pure NY maple syrup. Located at approximately 160 farms and museums across New York State, Maple Weekend offers a delicious, fun-filled outing that has a little something for all maple-lovers to taste and experience.

Join us this year March 17-18 & 24-25, 2018 for sugar house tours, samples, activities and much more from 10am-4pm.

Lake George Steamboat Company Family Fun Festival

We will be attending the Lake George Steamboat Company Family Fun Fest this weekend!!! Saturday 9/23 from 9 AM - 3 PM and Sunday 9/24 from 11 AM- 3PM. Being held on Beach Road, Lake George, NY.. We will have syrup, Maple cream, Maple granulated sugar and maple sugar leafs. Come by and say Hi.
